BMX Hall of Fame Germany

The Jury

This is the committee of the German BMX Hall of Fame. But we are not the only ones who decide who is inducted. The jury evaluates the nominations and, together with the members of the Hall of Fame, deliberates on a new induction.

Christoph Huber

Christoph has been riding BMX since 1983 and was an important part of the Hamburg BMX scene in the 80s and 90s. He founded his first company, Mutation Clothing, in 1993. Today he lives in Cologne, runs his companies Mankind BMX and Unity Wholesale and occasionally meets up with his peers at the stadium to practise Funky Chickens.

Dirk Haynberg

Dirk Haynberg

Dirk comes from Düsseldorf and was a successful Phase II Expert rider in the 1980s, a European Championship participant and several times in the top 8 of the German Championship in the strong 69 age group.

Live long and prosper

Oliver Kienzle

Oliver began his BMX career in 1980 and was part of the Kuwahara team. With his unmistakable style and his famous starts, he has become multiple German, European and Vice World Champion. Nowadays he runs his shop "Oldschool BMX" and his own bike brand "Stro". He collects old bikes and still wins every race he can muster.

Ralf Maier

Ralf Maier has been a Cologne flatland pro from the very beginning and founded Freedom BMX Magazine in 1993. Today, he designs and builds skate parks all over the world with his company Betonlandschaften and advises cities and municipalities on the construction of skate and BMX facilities. He is the author of several books about BMX.

Ralf Mauritz

Ralf Mauritz

Ralf comes from Frankfurt and was a superclass rider in the Kuwahara team in the 80s. He has been a club member of TSV Braunshardt since 1983 and has been very close to Weiterstadt ever since. Ralf is the founder and organiser of the Veteranencup, the oldest BMX reunion event in the world, which has been held annually in Weiterstadt since 1995.

Thomas Fritscher

Thomas rode his first BMX race in Bremen-Vegesack in 1981, but switched to freestyle after the BDR banned stickers on the number plates. He was part of the Freedombmx magazine for over 10 years and now manages the website of the international BMX magazine "Dig" alongside his day job.
