BMX Speed Magazin (1983 - 1986)

After BMX Special magazine was demoted back to a supplement of the magazine "Motocross Enduro" in autumn 1983, the founding team of Special decided to leave the magazine and found their own magazine under the name "Speed Jump". The addition "Jump" was quickly dropped and Rolf D. Meißner (RIP), the editor-in-chief of "Special" at the time, joined the team after his magazine was discontinued. Speed was initially self-published but joined the Hannover-based publishing house "Moderne Media" or "Art Media" in 1984. The last issue was published in January 1986.
